Portmore Seventh-day Adventist Church
Portmore Seventh-day Adventist Church is a congregation of the Central Jamaica Conference, located at 7 Port Henderson Road, Portmore.
The congregation has grown alongside the town of Portmore itself, and is today among the larger Seventh-day Adventist congregations in Jamaica.
Visitors are welcome at every service, whether attending for the first time or returning after a period away.
Sabbath School begins at 9:15 a.m. and Divine Worship at 11:00 a.m. The full weekly programme is set out below.
When we meet
Sabbath services are held in the sanctuary at 7 Port Henderson Road. Midweek meetings are held at the church and on Zoom. Most services are carried on the church's live stream.
The congregation
On a typical Sabbath the sanctuary is filled for Divine Worship. The choir and praise team are in place, the children’s divisions meet in their own rooms, and the AY Society prepares the afternoon programme.
Alongside the pastoral team, the church is served by a board of elders with deacons and deaconesses elected from the membership. Sabbath School teachers and departmental leaders carry much of the week-to-week work.

Divine Worship is streamed live from the sanctuary each Sabbath at 11:00 a.m., and Worship Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Special programmes held through the year are carried on the same channel.
Recordings remain available afterwards, so members who are travelling, unwell or resident overseas can follow the same service.

Visiting the church
Parking is available on the church grounds off Port Henderson Road. Members of the diaconate are stationed at the entrances before each service and will assist anyone attending for the first time in finding a seat. No registration is required.
